Identification Documents

No fax or e-mail
We do not have an option for identification documents to be sent by fax or by e-mail. The documents need to be uploaded at identification page. Many of our users do not have a scanner but they go to friends, colleagues, or scan their identification documents in their office.

Upload link, review time
For more information about our identification procedure, please check identification page. Our identification procedure is very efficient and your documents will be reviewed within a few minutes.

Parallel account
If your family member, friend or co-worker (parallel user) wants to open his or her account from the same computer, this procedure should be followed: the parallel user needs to open a new account and to upload his or her identification documents described at identification page; parallel user will then need to contact us on the live support channel accessible through our web site, so we can verify the uploaded documents; parallel user should not use the Streamster software before the documents get verified; otherwise the newly created account will be disabled again.

Trade from same computer
Marketiva allows more than one user to trade from the same computer or location. If two or more users want to trade from the same computer or location they must provide identification documents for all accounts and each account holder must trade his own account at a time.

Reason for ID
We are obliged to follow anti-money laundering (AML) laws and regulations and require picture identification and address verification documents. Picture identification is a passport, driver's license or other type of official document, and an address verification document is a phone bill, a utility bill or similar. Please check identification page for more details.

When to upload
You don't have to upload your ID immediately upon opening your account; however, you will be required to upload it before withdrawing or if your account gets suspended. For more information about our identification procedure, please check identification page. Our identification procedure is very efficient and your documents will be reviewed within a few minutes.

Images too big
The identification upload form only accepts your files if they are in JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) format, have 100kb maximum filesize each and are uploaded at the same time. You can use Microsoft Paint (Start All Programs Accessories Paint) and its Image Stretch and Skew option (set Stretch to less than 100%) to resize your images and then save in the JPEG format. If you use Windows XP, you can also use ImageResizer that you can download from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx page.

Your stop-loss was not hit by the market yet. Please note that if your position is long (buy), the stop-loss order will be executed only when the bid hits your stop-loss price. If your position was short (sell), the stop-loss order will be executed only when the offer (ask) price hits your stop-loss price

Closed position - Margin call
Your position will be closed if you get a margin call. If the equity balance on your margin trading desk falls below the margin requirement, a margin call will be generated. General Trading Information

Rates Change Colors
If a rate changes color to green, it means the rate in that cell just updated and is higher than the previous one. If a rate changes color to red, it means the rate in that cell just updated and is lower than the previous one.

Change column reset
Each trading day session starts at 17:00 EST / EDT (New York local time) so the Change columns reset at that time.

Market alerts
Market alerts notify you about a current or future event on the market. Alerts are triggered 5 minutes before the scheduled event is about to take place. There are many different abbreviations used in language that describe alert notifications. These are abbreviations for economic institutions, instruments, businesses, reports, processes, etc. You can find detailed information on these and similar terms and abbreviations at http://www.wikipedia.org/ web site.

GENERAL PROBLEMS
### shows only
When there is not enough space for Streamster to show certain value in a cell, # symbols are shown instead. The application does that so if a part of a number is missing you do not see a wrong number. Simply place your mouse on the border of the column heading where the # symbols appear, then click and drag until you see all of the data.

Position profit missing
If you unsubscribe from an instrument price, Streamster will not be able to calculate real-time, indicative profit on positions you have in [Positions] window on that instrument. Streamster will sometimes also need correlated price subscriptions (e.g. EUR/JPY position will need current USD/JPY rate to calculate your current profit in USD currency). To resolve this, you just need to subscribe to receive prices by clicking the Subscriptionsbutton in a price window, click on Searchbutton and then double-click the instruments needed. NOTE: When you close a position, your profit will always be calculated correctly, no matter if the real-time, indicative profit is shown or not.

Forex, Funds, Indexes, Commodities

Forex Market
Foreign Exchange (Forex) is by far the largest market in the world, in terms of cash value traded, and includes trading between large banks, central banks, currency speculators, multinational corporations, governments, and other financial markets, institutions and entities. Forex traders simultaneously buy one currency and sell another and currencies are always priced and traded in pairs. There is no central physical exchange where Forex transactions occur since currency trading is freely carried out between counterparties, in person, by phone or online.

Current Forex Rates
Our Forex rates are based on current average interbank trading activity. Each instrument has bid price (for you to sell), offer price (for you to buy), last price (average of bid and offer), change from daily open price, highest and lowest daily prices and price update time-stamp.

Funds Market
Investment funds are offered by various institutions, investment banks, financial firms and other entities, and fund shares are purchased and sold through centralized exchanges or in direct retail sale. Funds are often structured to target specific geographic regions, specific industries or investment styles. Fund investors are typically advised to hold their shares for at least one year to offset initial charges and potential drawdowns in fund share prices. Funds are considered long-term investments and are normally not associated with speculative and day-trading.

Current Fund Rates
Our Fund rates are based on Fund pricing models (e.g. net asset value, preset percentage). Each instrument has bid price (for you to sell), ask price (for you to buy), last price (average of bid and ask), change from daily open price, annual yield (profit in the last 365 days), price update time-stamp and currency the prices are quoted in.

Market Indexes
Market index is a representation of value of a set of securities that constitute certain market sector or industry, have similar market capitalization, or are listed on the same exchange. Indexes often serve as barometers against which financial or economic performance is measured. Various methods are utilized to determine index values, some of them favoring market capitalization, others market share or price of a security. Major international market indexes are commonly published in media as indicators of economic trends in various parts of the world.

Current Index Rates
Our Index rates are based on current index values provided by various exchanges and financial institutions. Each instrument has bid price (for you to sell), ask price (for you to buy), last price (average of bid and ask), change from daily open price, highest and lowest daily prices and price update time-stamp.

Commodities Market
Commodities are basic resources and raw or primary products such as metals, energy and agricultural products. These resources and products are traded on commodities exchanges and over-the-counter markets, in which they are bought and sold in standardized contracts. Open auction, which involved traders meeting face-to-face in trading pits, was the primary method of trading before introduction of today prevalent electronic trading systems. Participants in commodities trading range from farming cooperatives hedging against a poor harvest to oil companies and market speculators.

Current Commodity Rates
Our Commodity rates are based on current prices quoted on largest commodity exchanges. Each instrument has bid price (for you to sell), ask price (for you to buy), last price (average of bid and ask), change from daily open price, highest and lowest daily prices, price update time-stamp and currency the prices are quoted in.
